Addictions Websites

I had dinner last night with some of my colleagues in the Vancouver Community College counselling programs. One of the things we talked about was the upcoming introduction of buprenorphine (info from Wired magazine) to the Canadian addictions treatment regimen. “Bupe” (trade name Subutex) is safer and more effective than methadone for opiate addiction treatment. Look for bupe in addictions clinics by the end of 2005.

Enforcement staff offer speakers, publications , etc in support of a regulated drug market.

Media Awareness Project
THE site for media coverage of harm reduction/policy issues.

This site is connected to the Media Awarness Project (above) and provides chat rooms etc. to expand the media issues.
